Green shirt's name is Troy. He brings his laptop to Starbucks to catch up on his YouTube videos. He is originally from Nevada and recently moved here to live with his Aunt Rosemary. When he was 5, Troy realized he really wanted to be a video producer and has set into motion a way to become this: moving in with his Aunt Rosemary and applying for the college that has given so many successful video producers, illustrators, and artists their start, CalArts. Being a recent transplant to Los Angeles and Southern California, his classmates figured he'd be surprised by the recent earthquakes, the recent displeasure the ground expressed to us. NOT! Turns out, Nevada is also a top seismically active state. Troy has experienced earthquakes before. He views them as little impromptu roller-coaster rides and rather enjoys them as long as they stay below 6.
Aunt Rosemary is constantly on him to pursue his arts, to expand into the world of illustration and broaden his perspective. That's ok, sometimes, but imagine living in an apartment with your band. You guys get along great, you love each other and when the music happens, it's amazing music. Sometimes, though, you just want some time alone with just you and your guitar. Hence the secret coffee dates. Watching a video with no intent to analyze and let the video just be. It's one of life's greatest pleasures and for Troy, it's a way to relax.
